The married couple had their share of popularity from the participation in the TV Show, The Real Housewives of Orange County and by being a plastic surgeon. The two of them combined developed this diet which is supposed to help in losing weight faster. You should expect an increase in the energy level in your body. What is this diet?

Based on the age-old fasting concept the diet was developed keeping interval eating in mind. In fasting, people were not supposed to eat for around 18 hours round the clock. Many have started to see amazing results by following this diet, which is more than just counting calories. In this diet, the intake of food should be in three different phases. But in each of these phases, there is a specific fasting period.

In the initial stage, the usual set up of the body is to be changed. To do this the diet recommends a sudden change in the diet. This can be done by going into fasting for around 16 hours in a day. This kind of diet can be followed for around five days at the beginning of the diet. In the next phase, the methods will vary depending on the results expected. This depends on how fast the person wants to lose the weight.

If the quick weight loss plan is opted then the person should go into fasting for 16 hours per day where they can eat only during the remaining eight-hour window. But they get to have one cheat day in a week. If the expected weight loss is supposed to be in a medium pace, then the fasting can be reduced to fourteen hours a day. This means that the person can eat food in the ten hours interval present. If the slow weight loss plan is opted then the person can have a twelve-hour window. That means the food intake should be between the twelve hour period and the remaining twelve hours should be fasting.

For both the medium and the slow weight loss plan the cheat day remains to be one. It is a must that there should be no consumption of alcohol during this period. Otherwise, the diet will not be productive.

Food Allowed.

There are specific food items which you can eat in this diet. This includes a diet filled with lean proteins, green veggies, good fats etc. You should include all leafy veggies like kale, spinach, leeks, green beans, etc in the diet as much as possible.

For proteins, one can stick with chicken, fish, nuts etc. The diet allows the consumption of tea and coffee. You can algo eat Yogurt as it is healthy fat, but it should be non-fat yogurt. You should include fruits like avocado in the diet.
