Cold Water
You may be tempted to wash towels at a high temperature to renew them, especially if they are damp.
However, this expert says it’s infinitely better to do it cold. “Low temperatures prevent seams from shrinking, help keep colors vivid and work better with certain stains,” she explains.
White Vinegar and Soap
Before using them for the first time you should wash them without fabric softener, in fact, many manufacturers advise not to use fabric softeners in the first two or three washes.
It is not recommended that you use steam irons, as they get wet and strange smells may appear.
To get the towels disinfected and spongy add a little soap and white vinegar in the detergent box.
The smell will be eliminated during the wash, but if you don’t want to take risks, soak the towels in a basin with water and a little vinegar and then wash them only with soap.
