The bird box movie was released by the end of 2018 which was an adaptation of the novel which goes by the same name. Starring Sandra Bullock in the lead role there are the other two main characters, a boy and a girl, who are portrayed as her children in the film.
The movie is an American film based on the post-apocalyptic genre. The film was directed by Susanne Bier and it had the screenplay, which was written by Eric Heisserer.
The movie follows the plot where there is the presence of a mysterious force in the area. This force has minimized the entire population in the region.
This is all because any person who sees the force will die. There is the added pressure that the people trying to fight it out will have the picture of this force connecting to their worst fears.
The survivors will have to save themselves from this entity and avoid coming face to face with it. The main lead, a mother with the two children decides to embark on a new journey with a lot of hope.

The will have to reach their destination by being blindfolded throughout the journey.
If they come face to face with this entity and see it with their eyes then they will either die or they will be forced to kill themselves. This movie followed the same plot of the book which it is based on and is written by Josh Malerman.
The movie was initially premiered at AFI Fest towards the end of 2018. It was then released on Netflix by the mid of December. There was a delay in the release of the movie. After the initial premiere because of the few mishaps which happened in the country around the same time.

The movie was said to be streaming for more than seventy percent of the time during the whole period. It is to be noted that Netflix has over 45 million accounts as members. There were even several challenges which went by the movie name Bird Box challenge which quickly started becoming viral.
Also there were several videos circulating on how people were taking up this challenge and doing things blindfolded. There were also several memes popping up around the same time based on the events happening in the movie.
